Ok. Hands down, we have waited too long. After many conversations with lamster(creator of game), the newer release of altitude(with matchmaker) he said would be soon. However with his full time job and everything it could be 2-4 summers before the beta gets out. After all, it took him 6 summers to get the first one out. Some of us have been waiting patiently for almost a year, and it's time to change that. Before, we had no idea how we could do this, now we know but realize how difficult it is. Here is what we plan to do. We are taking action. Our goals are to create Alit2ude before lams does, and prove everyone who said we couldn't wrong. In order to do this we need teams. We have 2 main components in doing this task, and we have two project leaders.
1. Modifying the data files:
I will be in charge of this, as I am already started. Thsi task involves the use of hex editing in dealing with binary codes so that the files can be decypted. Then the files can be changed by manuelly entering in variables to replace or add on to others.
2. Matchmaker:
We don't neccessarily need matchamker, but we do need an internet site to set up servers for us. In order for this to happen, we will have to pay monthly fees. Skywalker will be in charge of collecting money from forum members to pay for it.
There will also be spots for icons, when .jpeg freaks could be useful. If you would like to be a part of Alti2ude, please let me know i will find something for you to do.
